It's part of
our DNA

Sustainability isn’t just something we think about.

Right from the start, we agreed that Morpho can’t be vague with sustainability plans, because our planet doesn’t have time for us to be anything but direct. We need to take action now for a better and more sustainable planet for everyone. And that goes for brands we work with, too.

Morpho’s sustainability values

We don’t just support the brands we work with to develop effective sustainability plans; We have our very own detailed sustainability plans. Because why would you trust an agency that doesn’t practice what they preach?

We’ve built our sustainability strategy around the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Originally designed for governments, these goals have proved to be an excellent way to address the biggest issues that our planet is currently facing and how we can resolve them.

We’ve chosen 3 of the 17 goals which align most closely with the values of the team and created a sustainability plan to achieve them.

Take a look by clicking on each one below:

A world full of unhealthy people can’t be sustainable; tackling global health issues like infant mortality rates, substance abuse, access to healthcare, and more is essential if we want to protect the planet. We need to make sure everyone can lead a healthy lifestyle and tap into personal wellbeing, no matter their age.

The SDG for good health & wellbeing focuses on ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all at all ages to achieve health equality for people across the globe. To contribute towards this goal, we look both internally towards the health and wellbeing of our team, as well as externally to a global audience

One of the ways we contribute to this goal is by continuing to improve our  maternity, paternity and childcare policies and procedures for everyone who works for us. We also promote and encourage a healthy plant-based diet to help prevent non-communicable diseases. Team members are provided with resources including vegan cookbooks, and spend time on plant-based research for the vegan brands that we work with to get inspired.

On top of this, everyone at Morpho is encouraged to prioritise their day-to-day health and wellness, and this is how we help:

  • Flexible working, work in a way that suits you and your lifestyle
  • Support for team members entering fitness events and competitions, we love a bit of healthy competition, especially when it’s for a good cause!
  • Working with health & wellbeing brands, whose missions align closely with meeting the SDG and help us increase our impact on a global scale

World temperatures and CO2 levels are continuing to rise, and it’s beyond scary. Climate change is impacting every country on every continent, disrupting national economies, raising sea levels, causing extreme weather events, and destroying natural ecosystems. The world needs to take action now before it’s too late.

The UN’s SDG for climate action recognises that we are NOT on track to limit global warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels in accordance with the Paris Agreement. Now, for us to achieve this goal, the world needs to achieve net zero carbon dioxide emissions by around 2050. The UN’s goal is to take urgent action to combat this climate change and the impact it has.

One of the ways we ensure we meet this goal is by recording our own business carbon footprint and constantly striving to reduce it. All of our clients are offered a personalised data studio to track their marketing activities which can be used to track their own sustainability metrics including their carbon footprint.

As well as this, everyone at Morpho is encouraged to reduce their carbon footprint as much as possible, and this is how we support them:

  • Ecologi subscriptions for team members, so they can plant trees and work towards offsetting their personal carbon footprints
  • Cycle to work scheme, so our team can save money (and the world!) on their daily commute

The ocean isn’t just something fun to swim in on holiday, it drives vital global systems that make the Earth habitable for humans and animals. Everything from our drinking water, rainwater, weather, climate and coastlines, to a lot of our food and even the oxygen we breathe are ultimately provided and maintained by the sea. We need to preserve our precious oceans if we want to survive.

The Life Below Water SDG set by the UN recognises that the sustainability of our oceans is under severe threat and we urgently need to address it. Over 3 billion people rely on oceans for their livelihoods and dead zones (areas of water that lack sufficient oxygen to support marine life) are rising at an alarming rate – we need to turn the tide. This UN goal aims to do this by conserving and sustainably using the oceans, sea, and maine resources for sustainable development.

One of the ways we contribute to meeting this goal is by working with organisations that provide vegan alternatives to seafood. We’re also partnered with Green Monday – a leading provider of vegan seafood.

Education is another way we can help reach this goal. For example, one of our clients, Eating Our Way To Extinction, produced a documentary that raises awareness of the damage created by taking life from the oceans for food. It’s been highly successful (recently launched on Amazon Prime) and has made big moves in the environmental space, backed by the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio and Richard Branson.

In addition to this, everyone at Morpho is encouraged to consider the health of our oceans and waterways every day, and this is how we help:

  • Vegan lifestyle encouraged, to help protect sea life, other animals, and the environment, as well as promote a healthy diet for our team members
  • Meat-free office, we strongly encourage a meat-free office and regularly have plant-based lunches together like vegan sushi (trust us, it’s amazing!)
  • Zero landfill policy, to discourage the use of products that go to landfill, every team member has an individual responsibility to dispose of non-recyclable waste in the office, .e.g. if they choose to use non-recyclable coffee cups, we don’t provide bins for this, so they’ll have to take it home / to another bin
  • Supplying sustainable plastic alternatives, like reusable coffee cups and water flasks,
  • Beach cleanup days, to make a direct impact on British coastal areas, we attend beach cleanup days to do our bit for the planet
  • Committed to finding and growing the most progressive and sustainable brands in this space

Need an ESG audit?

In the green and vegan spaces, you need to make sure you are being a force of good for the environment and your fellow humans. An ESG audit helps you to identify any un-sustainable cracks in your business and makes sure you live up to your brand proposition. Making these sustainable upgrades also ties in nicely with marketing activity, so you can promote the successes and impact your business is having on the planet.

Our ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) sustainability audits evaluate the environmental and social risks of your brand’s products, operations, or services. We will reveal any potential risks to the authenticity and reputation of your brand quickly, and address them before they become a bigger problem. Want to be B-Corp certified? We can help you with that too.
